The equipment has a form cylinder with recesses, a comb for feeding ink into the recesses and arrangements for selective application of heat and transferring heated ink to a recording material. Conductors in the recesses contact the electrically conducting ink. A transfer cylinder has line pattern of conductors on its outer surface intersecting the recess line patterns in the contact area. The conductors are connected to a voltage source. The equipment has a form cylinder (36) with recesses (35), a comb for introducing ink into the recesses, an arrangement for selective application of heat to the ink in the recesses depending on the image and an arrangement for transferring heated ink to a recording material. The recesses form a line pattern. Electrical conductors (37) in the bottoms of the recesses contact the electrically conducting ink (38). A transfer cylinder (41) is in rolling contact with the form cylinder with conductors (40) in a line pattern on its outer surface that intersect the line patterns of the recesses in the cylinder contact area. The conductors on the transfer cylinder and in the recesses are connected to a voltage source (42) depending on the image.
