The container filling system has a number of filling positions, each provided with a filling element (4), against which each liquid container (2) to be filled is sealed during a part of the filling process, the interior of the container subjected to a process pressure in at least one filling process step. Each filling element has at least one pressure sensor, detecting the container internal pressure, for supplying a corresponding electrical signal to an electronic control stage for the filling elements. An independent claim for a liquid container filling method is also included.
