WEB-BASED EQUIPMENT SALES AND SERVICE NETWORK AND METHOD FOR THE SAME

PURPOSE: An electric equipment sales and service network and a method for the same are provided to receive requirements from customers and a configuration manager for using the requirements and at least one of the provider databases to generate web-accessible customized solutions and to provide collaborative and multi-modal access to information. CONSTITUTION: The electric equipment sales and service network includes a web service(18) including a web-based interface(20) for receiving requirements(16) from customers(14); links to provider(32,34,36) databases; and a configuration manager(22) for using the requirements and at least one of the provider databases to generate customized web-accessible solutions(38) for respective customers.
