In their magazine position the tool holders(19) are inclined by their longitudinal axis(20) to the spindle axis(12) so that they point downwards at an angle away from the spindle. The angle of inclination is between 30 and 60 degrees, and approximately 45 degrees. Each tool holder gripper arm(25) is a four-member linkage which represents an irregular quadrangle, with one side longer than the others. Two opposite sides of the quadrangle may have different lengths.
