<p>A heat insulating plaster composition comprises expanded polystyrene beads and pulverised fuel ash, and a hydraulic binding agent including both a cement based compound and a polymeric binder. The weight percentage of said polymeric binder in the composition is greater than the weight percentage of cement based compound in the final composition prior to addition of water. The dimensions of the expanded polystyrene beads are preferably less than 1 mm in diameter. The composition preferably includes mica and a quartz or silica sand with granules less than 1mm average dimension. Varying amount of water can be added to the composition to vary its viscosity as required. The plaster may be applied to a wall by spraying.</p> |
