PURPOSE: A system and a method for remotely managing a game chain store are provided to reduce the time for diagnosing and restoring a game device in case that the device gets out of order by connecting a plurality of game chain stores through a communication network, by remotely providing, updating and exchanging all sorts of entertainment information including game software programs. CONSTITUTION: A database in which all sorts of entertainment information including a plurality of game software programs is constructed. A program for managing game chain stores is prepared. A connection request from a system of the game chain store connected through a network is responded. After that, an entertainment menu is provided. Entertainment information corresponded to the menu is searched from the database. The information searched is transmitted. Data on transmission items are stored as management data on the game chain store.
