PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lump of ice having high visual effect, and further to provide a decorative apparatus having the same. SOLUTION: (1) This fluorescent lump of the ice contains or stores a fluorescent material, and the fluorescent material is exemplified by one or more kinds of water-soluble materials selected from luciferin, riboflavin, fluorescein, eosin, acridine orange, methylene blue, acriflavine, eosin, erythrocin, safranine and the like, or these derivatives. (2) The method for obtaining the fluorescence comprises irradiating the fluorescent lump of the ice with light. (3) The fluorescent lump of the ice includes the edible fluorescent material. (4) The food and drink include the fluorescent lump of the ice including the edible fluorescent material added thereto. The food and drink are ice cream, various kinds of drink, soup, cold appetizer, salad and noodles. (5) The decorative apparatus has the fluorescent lump of the ice and an optical illumination part. |
