PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a shorter construction period and a lower construction cost without giving damage to a distortion absorbing portion. SOLUTION: Facilities for storage in a rock bed comprise a plurality of segments 14 fixed to the inner face of a cavity portion 12 formed in a rock bed 10 with a back-filling layer 13 and an air-tight metal lining layer 16 provided on the inner faces of the segments 14. Each segment 14 has a stepped cutout portion 14d provided in a peripheral junction. The metal lining layer 16 has divided metal lining layers 16 integrated at the inner periphery sides of the segments 14. By welding the bent portions 16a, 16b put on each other in a recessed portion 18, the divided metal lining layers 16 are connected to each other with air tightness.
