PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device in which a fixing front guide does not obstruct the attaching and detaching of an image forming unit in the image forming device closely installing the image forming unit and a fixing unit to make the device small. SOLUTION: The image forming device has an image forming unit 1 having at least an image carrier 1a for transferring a toner image onto a transfer material and a fixing part 6 for fixing the toner image onto the transfer material, they are closely installed, and the fixing front guide 6a for introducing the transfer material on which the toner image is transferred to the fixing part 6, and the attaching and detaching direction of the image forming unit 1 is located on the transfer side, and when the image forming unit is attached or detached, the fixing front guide 6a is made movable onto the image forming unit 1a side.
