PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel use relating to interleukin 1 and interleukin 6, the physiologically active substances originating from Agaricus blazei. SOLUTION: At least one selected from the mycelia, the fruits of Agaricus blazei, a mixture thereof or the residues of their culture solutions is degraded with an exogenous enzymes mainly comprising hemicellulase to obtain the physiologically active substance that is useful as an active ingredient for interleukin 1 production promoter and an interleukin 6 production promoter.
