PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the discharge of the combustion product generated by the combustion in a gas generating means in an air bag gas generator. SOLUTION: This component used for the air bag gas generator is provided with a tubular section having a shape capable of being arranged to face the inner periphery of a tubular gas generator housing. The tubular section is the deflector member of the air bag gas generator formed into a shape and/or a structure capable of shielding at least a gas discharge port formed on the peripheral wall face of the gas generator housing from the housing inside.
