PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for separating a mixture containing an amide compound and an acid in order to solve problems that a large amount of a counterion or a base as a third component is required when an attempt to separate the amide compound from the acid is made and a large amount of products neutralized with the base is produced. SOLUTION: An adsorbent satisfying a/b<=0.1 (wherein a is the number of adsorbed mols of ion pairs based on the adsorbent; and b is the number of total adsorbed mols based on the adsorbent) is used.
