<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizing method capable of preventing the deteriora tion of deodorizing performance resulting from the pH fluctuation of a packed layer and capable of obtaining stable deodorizing performance even when the load of hydrogen sulfide is fluctuated. SOLUTION: In the method for biologically deodorizing by passing malodorous gas 1 containing hydrogen sulfide while circulating and spraying 5 water through the packed layer 4 in which a packing material is packed, the packed layer 4 or the circulating water 6 is controlled to be in a strongly acidic region, where the pH of the packed layer may be preferably kept within the range of 0.7-1.5 and the pH of the circulating water may preferably be kept within the range of 1.0-1.5, and in the circulating water 6, and pH control of the circulating water is performed with the replenishing water low in salt concentration so that <=3% salt concentration and/or <=200 ms/cm electrical conductivity may be obtained.</p> |
