PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method for manufacturing a porous crosslinked polymer highly accurate in thickness by controlling the shape and thickness of a HIPE fed into a horizontal continuous polymerization unit for the horizontal continuous polymerization of the HIPE into a polymer high in thickness accuracy. SOLUTION: The novel method is characterized in that it is a method for manufacturing a porous crosslinked polymer through the horizontal continuous polymerization of a water-in-oil type high dispersion phase emulsion wherein the emulsion is allowed to pass through between bodies installed at prescribed intervals relative to movable supports for the control of thickness.
