METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FITTING MALE AND FEMALE FASTENERS IN MANUFACTURING PROCESS OF PLASTIC FASTENER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for fitting male and female fasteners in a manufacturing process of a plastic fastener wherein male and female hooks can be surely fitted with each other even in a fastener molding immediately after molding, and to provide a fitting apparatus used in performing the method. SOLUTION: The method for fitting male and female fasteners in a manufacturing process of a plastic fastener comprising the male and female fasteners comprises steps of leading the male and female fasteners between a pair of fitting rolls which are oppositely placed at a predetermined clearance while the male hooks and the female hooks are overlaid to face each other. In this case, the female fastener is curved in contact with a peripheral surface of one of the fitting rolls thereby expanding engaging pieces of the female hooks. It is then brought into contact with and fitted with the male fastener led along a peripheral surface of the other fitting roll in this state. Then the fitted fasteners are displaced in a rotation direction of one of the fitting rolls and pulled out.
