PURPOSE: A video cassette recorder is provided to supply an image of high quality through restraining an repressing elastic deformation of a spring clutch member. CONSTITUTION: By a rotation of a capstan motor in a play mode, a driving belt(12) combined to the capstan motor rotates a driving pulley toward an identified direction with the capstan motor. A second spring clutch member(21) is fixed on a spring holder(17). Thus, the driving pulley and the spring holder are integrally rotated. A first spring clutch member(19) is slipped on a winding surface of the spring holder for transferring driving force to a driving gear(25). Herein, an operation portion(20a) of the first spring clutch member is contacted to a driving force transferring unit(26d) of the driving gear. Thus, elastic transformation is repressed to reduce repulsive force toward the capstan motor.
