摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gel-type electrolyte that has high ion-conductivity and is stable with respect to lithium electrolyte containing fluorine atom, and to provide a battery without liquid leakages, that is superior in load characteristics, low-temperature characteristics and other battery characteristics. SOLUTION: This gel-type electrolyte comprises an electrolyte, nonaqueous organic solvent and particulate alumina, and the surface hydroxyl-radical number of this alumina is 0.003 (mmol/1) or lower. As the electrolyte, a lithium salt containing fluorine atoms or tetraalkyl ammonium salt and as the nonaqueous organic solvent, cyclo-carbonate and/or chain ester are desirable. Then the particulate alumina with methanol critical concentration of 20% or lower, specific surface area of 30 (m2/g) or more, and particle size of 50 nm or smaller is desirable. The inorganic-oxide particle are desirably mixed at 5-30 weight % in the gel-type electrolyte. The above-mentioned gel-type electrolyte is to be contained on a lithium battery, in particular in a lithium secondary battery.
