PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To indicate the registration of a new code signal in a remote control device by actuating a lock knob when the signal is registered. SOLUTION: In the remote control device, a reception control circuit 15 includes a storage means 15a capable of being switched between a write mode in which a remote control signal received by a reception circuit 11 can be stored as a code signal and a read mode in which the code signal stored can be read; a mode selection means 15b for switching the storage means 15a to either the read or write mode; and a first comparison means 15g for comparing the code signal stored in the storage means 15a in the read mode with the signal received by the reception circuit 11 and for producing a coincidence signal when they are coincident. When the storage means 15a switched to the write mode stores a new remote control signal, a motor 25 is actuated to move the lock knob to indicate the completion of registration of the code signal.
