PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of connecting a beam to a floor joist in which no gap is generated between the beam and a floor substrate. SOLUTION: A second connection portion 12 of a connection piece 10 which is a rectangular metal plate is fitted and fixed to a rectangular recessed portion 30 in an upper surface 21 of a wooden beam 20. A first connection portion 11 of the connection piece 10 is located on the lower side of an upper flange 41 of a lip channel constituting the floor joint 40, ad the wooden beam 20 is connected to the floor joint 40 at a right angle. The depth of the recessed portion 30 is set to be the same as the total of the thickness 12a of the second connection portion 12 of the connection piece 10 and the thickness 41a of the upper flange 41 of the lip channel, the connection piece 10 is set not to be protruded from the upper surface 21 of the wooden beam 20, and the upper surface 21 of the wooden beam 20 is flush with an upper surface 43 of the upper flange 41.
