PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of the contact part of a detection switch with high contact reliability, capable of making a switch thinner, and stabilizing the contact pressure of a fixed-side contact. SOLUTION: The device comprises a fixed-side contact 3 disposed near a fixed terminal in a storage part 1a, a coil spring 4 with arm parts 4a and 4c, one of which is supported at the fixed terminal 2, the other having a movable- side contact 4f, and an operation lever 5 mounted in the storage part 1a. The operation lever 5 is engaged with the other arm part of the coil spring 4 and moves the movable-side contact 4f to the fixed-side contact against the energizing force of the coil spring. The fixed-side contact 3 has a flat plate 3b with a projection and a folded leaf spring-type contact plate 3c formed on the flat plate. The movable-side contact is clasped between the projection of the flat plate and the contact plate by the contact plate pressing the movable-side contact against the projection of the flat plate.
