PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magneto-optical recorder recording prescribed information in the state incapable of being reproduced by recording/reproducing processing of a usual and regular magneto-optical recording medium together with contents signals on the magneto-optical recording medium. SOLUTION: ID information showing the serial number of the magneto-optical disk 1 is recorded on the magneto-optical disk 1 together with the contents signals S30. In the relevant recording, a magnetic field applied to a laser irradiation position (signal recording position) on the magneto-optical disk 1 is modulated, and a recording mark according to the contents signals S30 is formed on the magneto-optical disk 1, and at this time, a phase of a laser drive signal is modulated, and the ID information is recorded. Further, the reproduction of the ID information is detected in an ID information detecting circuit 22 based on a VCO control voltage of a PLL circuit.
