PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent softening of a hollow shaft and lowering of strength and hardness in joining the hollow shaft and a sintered cam lobe by diffusion joining to manufacture a demountable camshaft. SOLUTION: In this demountable camshaft formed by integrating the hollow shaft and the sintered cam lobe, the hollow shaft is micro alloying steel.
