PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase convenience by simplifying operation for handling the kind of a document. SOLUTION: When a user instructs the storage of document data, a property pattern ID set in a storage destination folder is obtained. When the ID of the obtained property pattern is null, the parent folder ID is traced to and the property pattern ID is obtained from the folder information data of the parent folder. This process is repeated until a property pattern ID which is not null is obtained or until the highest parent folder is reached. Then definitions of the pattern corresponding to the obtained property pattern ID are obtained from a property pattern information data area and regarded as the initial state of the property of a document. When the ID of the obtained property pattern is null, the document is considered to initially have only the basic property. Then a picture for property input is structured matching the initial state of the document and displayed. |
