PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indicator for a hybrid electric vehicle capable of forecasting and indicating possible traveling range and time accurately. SOLUTION: By considering traveling patterns during a past given period that is obtainable from consumed and supplied electric power in the past traveling of a vehicle, in addition to the current total electric power comprising electric power that can be discharged by a battery and electric power that can be generated by an engine, at least one of possible traveling range and time that vehicle can secure in the subsequent traveling can be forecast properly (S14). In this case, at least one of the possible traveling range and the possible traveling time is corrected in accordance with power generating modes or at least one of the past consumed power and supplied power is corrected in accordance with the charged level of the battery (S12), so that the possible traveling range or time that the vehicle can secure in the subsequent traveling can be forecast highly accurately and more properly (S16). |
