PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat sink unit, having a fastener which needs no reduction in the radiation fin area of a heat sink, enables a socket to be simply mounted without using an exclusive jig, and can keep the heat sink stably fixed to the socket. SOLUTION: The heat sink unit comprises a heat sink 4 consisting of a board 41 having a zonal flat part 41A, extending from the front edge to the rear edge on the upside and radiation fins 42 disposed on the board 41 upside, except the zonal flat part 41A, and a fastener 1 for fixing the heat sink 4 onto a socket 7 having a mounted CPU 5, and the fastener 1 comprises tensile coil springs 2 disposed on the zonal flat part 41A, and front-rear engaging parts 3 provided in the front and rear ends of the tensile coil springs 2 for engaging with protrusions 71 formed on the front and rear side faces of the socket 7 against the elasticity of the springs 2.
