A flange 15b, 17a on the inner periphery of a vehicle window frame has mounted thereon a trim strip 18 of channel shaped cross section. To the outside of the flange is a channel shaped attachment groove 17 housing a separate glass run body 20 to guide and seal a window 14. The trim and glass run are in contact and the attachment groove forms part of the flange. Protrusions 17d and 16b on the attachment groove may cooperate with glass run limbs 20e and 20f to secure the glass run in place. It may be further secured by limb 20j interlocking with limb 18f of the trim strip. The door frame may comprise an inner panel 15 and an outer panel 16, connected by a door sash 17 from which the glass run attachment is formed. The welded join of the inner panel and the door sash may form the flange upon which the trim strip is mounted. The trim has a larger radius of curvature at corners than does the glass run. A shield plate (18h, figure 7) is disclosed to fill the gap between the two and so maintain a pleasing visual appearance. |
