PURPOSE: An opening and closing valve for drainage is provided to change the center of gravity according to the generation of the water pressure between a vertical pipe below a washstand and a vertical connection pipe connected to the vertical pipe for opening or closing the inside of the vertical pipe, thereby simplifying the drainage structure. CONSTITUTION: An opening and closing valve for drainage includes a valve seat(40) coupled between a vertical pipe(10) and a vertical connection pipe(20) and formed with a receiving groove(42) facing a central area of an inner diameter, a cutoff member(60) having a rotating shaft(61) rotatably received in the receiving groove of the valve seat to be protruded and biased to an outer diameter of a first side(S1) from the center, wherein a second side(S2) of the cutoff member has a larger surface area and the center of gravity of the cutoff member is biased to the first side with respect to the rotating shaft, and first and second stoppers(63,64) formed on the inner diameter of the valve seat respectively at immediately upper and lower positions of the first and second sides of the cutoff member for maintaining the horizontality of the cutoff member.
