<p>A fuel filter cartridge assembly (10) employing a two piece housing (12, 14) to house a disposable, incineratable filter unit (30, 30'). The filter unit (30, 30') is constructed to cooperate with the sealing mechanism (20) of the housing to seal the assembled cartridge against a fuel inlet/outlet conduit (66, 67, 68, 69). Tabs (38) formed on the filter unit end cap (34) cooperate with slots (24, 39) formed in the housing to ensure that only compatible filter units are used. <IMAGE></p> |
