A pipe connection unit 10 comprises a hollow main body 12, which is provided with at least three pipe connection points 18, at least one of the pipe connection points being provided with a connection adaptor 22. A valve 28 is housed within the main body 12 and is positioned between at least one of the pipe connection points so that in use the valve controls fluid flow between the at least one pipe connection point and the remaining pipe connection points. A valve controller 34 is connected to the valve. The main body may have a tee configuration, and the valve may be an isolating, ball, gate, balancing, or globe valve.
