<p>A composition for inorganic fibers, which has composition 1 or composition 2 described below. [Composition 1] 16.0-41.0% by weight of SiO2, 12.0% by weight or more but less than 35.0% by weight of Al2O3 and 30.0-60.0% by weight of CaO, with the total of SiO2, Al2O3 and MgO being more than 97% by weight [Composition 2] 1.0-20.0% by weight of SiO2, 20.0-50.0% by weight of Al2O3 and 45.0-60.0% by weight of CaO, with the total of SiO2, Al2O3 and CaO being more than 97% by weight Inorganic fibers obtained from the composition for inorganic fibers; a method for producing inorganic fibers, wherein the composition for inorganic fibers is melted and then formed into fibers; and a shaped material or an amorphous material, which is obtained using the inorganic fibers.</p> |
