PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic press which can efficiently implement the pressing without cutting various kinds of stocks, and reliably implement the pressing with high accuracy by applying the required pressure to an upper punch plate and/or an upper punch as necessary for the stocks. SOLUTION: A lower punch and a scrap cutter are provided on a base via a pressure adjustment lower punch plate and a lower punch plate, a lower pressure panel is provided in a pressure adjustment chamber of the pressure adjustment lower punch plate, a lower knock-out pin of the lower pressure panel is provided on the lower punch, and a hydraulic apparatus for the lower punch is provided on the press. In addition, an upper punch plate and an upper punch are provided on a frame of the base via a pressure adjustment upper punch plate and an upper punch plate, an upper pressure panel is provided in a pressure adjustment chamber of the pressure adjustment upper punch plate, an upper punch of the upper pressure panel is provided on the upper punch plate, and a hydraulic system for the upper punch is provided.
