PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a precision coated metal plate for a laminated mold and a method for producing the mold by using the plate in a simple process. SOLUTION: In the metal plate for the mold one side or both sides of which are coated with a thermoplastic resin, the amount of the adherent dry resin in one-side coating is 1.0-10 g/m2, the amount of the adherent dry resin on one side in both-side coating 0.5-5.0 g/m2. In manufacturing the mold by cutting a plurality of the plates precisely one by one in a prescribed shape according to CAD data and laminating the cut plates in turn, in the case of one-side coating, the plates are laminated so that the uncoated side in contacted with the resin surface of the plate and heated so that the resin is fusion-bonded to the plate, or the plates are fusion-bonded to each other.
