ULTRASONIC TRANSCEIVER AND VEHICLE'S SURROUNDING OBSTRUCTION SENSOR

PURPOSE: An ultrasonic transceiver and a vehicle's surrounding obstruction sensor are provided to detect obstructions located around a vehicle, wherein the sensor has a detection area suitable for detecting obstructions located behind the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: The ultrasonic transceiver includes a ultrasonic sensor(2) provided with a transducer(10); a case(5) for housing the ultrasonic sensor(2) therein; and a resilient member(8) to be interposed between the case(5) and an ultrasonic sensor(2), wherein the surface of the case opposing a side surface of the ultrasonic sensor(2) is tapered with respect to a surface of the ultrasonic sensor(2) without involvement of the resilient member(8).
