PURPOSE:To provide a radio telephone equipment capable of notifying the user of a radio telephone equipment of whether or not the communication opponent is within the coverage of a cordless telephone equipment with small power consumption before making a calling operation, in the radio telephone equipment usable as the cordless telephone equipment at office or home and capable of performing radio communication by means of a radio telephone service network outside the coverage of the cordless telephone equipment. CONSTITUTION:By providing a display part 11, a detection part 18 outputting an 10 code request signal to the master equipment of the cordless telephone equipment and detecting the receiving of the ID code from the cordless telephone master equipment and a control part 19 transmitting the ID code request signal to the detection part 18 and requesting display to the display part 11 in accordance with the ID code receiving detection result from the detection part 18 when the user of the radio telephone equipment makes a switch-over operation from a cellular telephone to a cordless telephone, the user can be notified of whether or not the communication opponent is within the coverage of the cordless telephone equipment.
