The invention relates to an apparatus (1) for applying spreadable material to the upper side of the culture material of flower pots (21) provided with a plant (22), wherein the apparatus (1) comprises a spreader device (2) for sprinkling the flower pots (21) and comprises rotation means (16A, 16B, 17A, 17B, 18, 19) for rotating the flower pots (21) during sprinkling thereof. The rotation movement achieves that the sprinkling operations take place from all sides of the flower pot (21), so that a much more even sprinkling is possible. According to a first preferred embodiment the apparatus (1) is adapted to move the centre of the flower pots (21) in substantially horizontal direction relative to the spreader device (2) simultaneously with the rotating of the flower pots (21), and the spreader device (2) is adapted to sprinkle the flower pots (21) continuously. |
