PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information service system that can easily serve information in response to the preference and the interests of users. SOLUTION: The information service system serves information to a user of video recording/display device 28 that records or displays a broadcast program. The video recording/display device 28 is provided with an operation information acquisition section 38 that acquires a history of video recording, display or reproduction display operations of a broadcast program by the video recording/display device 28. A storage section 18 of a control center 12 stores the history acquired by the operation information acquisition section 38 as a user action history database. An information service means 40 consisting of a program extract section 24 and a user extract section 26 in the control center 12 discriminates whether or not the history satisfies a prescribed condition and serves specific information to a user the video recording/display device 28 when the history satisfies the prescribed condition.
