A learning value, Tthos for correcting the estimate value is determined from the intertia torque (S835), and is then converted into a learning value, Ethos for correcting engine generating torque on the basis of the torque ratio of a torque converter. The learning value, Ethos is added to the estimate of the engine generating torque at shifting time of the next time to be corrected.
