PURPOSE: An electric home appliance network system and an operating method thereof are provided to check or remotely control a kitchen and electric home appliances near the kitchen using the Internet outside a home. CONSTITUTION: Electric home appliances such as a refrigerator(17), a cooking device(18), and an air conditioner(19) have sub-controllers in the internal portion and are located in the inside of a home. The refrigerator(17) has a sub-controller(17a) and refrigerator controller(17b). The cooking device(18) has a sub-controller(18a) and a cooking device controller(18b). The air conditioner(19) has a sub-controller(19a) and the air conditioner controller(19b). A control server(15) has a main controller in the internal portion, and is located in the internal portion of home for transceiving data with the electric home appliances using the first communication protocol and the first communication medium. External communication devices such as cellular phones(11,12) and a personal computer(13) have controllers, and is located in the outside of the home for transceiving data with the control server(15) using the second communication protocol and the second communication medium.
