PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilation system for multistory building insusceptible to lowering of ventilation performance due to draft of heating operation in winter season and exhibiting excellent cleaning performance. SOLUTION: The ventilation system for multistory building having a passage chamber, including a first floor passage chamber, communicating with a plurality of living rooms comprises outdoor air inlets, air outlets for supplying air to the passage chamber, and ventilators for supplying the outdoor air from the air outlets. The air outlets are provided in the wall face or ceiling of the first floor passage chamber while opening toward the first floor passage chamber so that the outdoor air can be supplied therefrom to each living room. The ventilator can be installed between the ceiling of the first floor passage chamber and the floor face of second floor, on the floor face of first floor, in the outdoor, on the outdoor ground face, on the outdoor wall face of housing, or on the outdoor veranda. Filter can be replaced from above the ventilator.
