PURPOSE: A protection section inserting device of an OFDM transmission system is provided which employs a FIFO that sequentially stores input information to store input data, thereby obtaining rapid processing speed. CONSTITUTION: A protection section inserting device of an OFDM transmission system includes a data FIFO(10) that receives SYS_CLK0 as a write clock signal and receives SYS_CLK1 as a read signal to be operated, and a GI FIFO(20) that accepts the write enable signal of the data FIFO as a write clock signal and accepts the read enable signal as a read clock signal. The device further has a data multiplexer(30) for multiplexing the output signals of the data FIFO and GI FIFO, the first FIFO controller(40) for outputting a GI write control signal to the write enable port of the GI FIFO, and the second FIFO controller(50) for outputting a GI read control signal to the read enable port of the GI FIFO, the read enable port of the data FIFO and the data multiplexer.
