PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axial flow type gas laser oscillator which is easily manufactured at a low cost and can use a power source of low frequency, e.g. at most 1 MHz without being restricted by material and thickness. SOLUTION: Laser gas is made to flow in a discharge tube 7 made of a ceramic sintered body having dielectric constant higher than glass, and an AC power source 3 is applied to metal electrodes 5 sandwiching the discharge tube 7, thereby generating a laser light LB. The discharge tube 7 can be formed by selecting high dielectric constant freely. The laser light is generated by using the AC power source in a frequency range from several hundreds Hz to several hundreds kHz which are lower than the case that glass is used.
