PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging apparatus, which can enhance the accuracy of detecting and measuring the charging saturation state of a rechargeable battery. SOLUTION: The charging apparatus is provided with an environmental- temperature detecting and measuring device TD200, which detects the temperature of an ambient environment. The charging apparatus is provided with a temperature detecting and measuring device TD100, which detects the temperature in the charging state of the rechargeable battery B100 itself. The charging apparatus is provided with a charging control circuit, by which a detection value by the device TD200 and a detection value by the device TD100 are provided simultaneously. When the temperature of the ambient environment is low, a temperature detecting point in the charging saturation state of the rechargeable battery is dropped. When the temperature of the ambient environment is high, the temperature detecting point is raised. Consequently, it is possible to enhance accuracy of detecting and measuring the charging saturation state.
