PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high performance and a low cost deflection yoke being able to remove both unbalanced winding distribution of a horizontal deflection coil and raster distortion on the screen. SOLUTION: The deflection yoke equipped with the horizontal deflection coil, vertical deflection coil and core and attached to the color cathode-ray tube uses one or a plural number of stranded wires for the horizontal deflection coil. As for one pair of the horizontal deflection coils when each has a different winding direction, a different wire stranding direction from each other can be adopted. As a result, this serves in removing the unbalanced winding distribution and raster distortion on the screen.
