PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide nitrogen-containing metallic powder from which an anode electrode, in which nitrogen is uniformly contained in a metal, such as niobium, tantalum, etc., which has a high specific capacitance and high long-term reliability, and in which very little leakage current occurs, can be manufactured with high productivity. SOLUTION: This nitrogen-containing metallic powder contains 50-20,000 ppm nitrogen in the form of a solid solution and the metal of the powder is niobium, tantalum, etc. This metallic powder is obtained by simultaneously producing a metal and mixing the nitrogen in the metal by introducing a nitrogen-containing gas into a reaction system while a metallic compound is reduced with a reducing agent. When this nitrogen-containing metallic powder is used in a porous sintered body and a solid electrolytic capacitor, the specific capacitances and long-term reliability of the sintered body and capacitor are improved. |
