PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a liquid crystal cell is to prevent a degradation of a picture quality due to a residual image and inject the liquid crystals into a large-scale substrate at a short time. CONSTITUTION: An alignment film is coated on the first substrate and the second substrate. A thermoplastic material is printed on an edge of the first substrate. The first substrate and the second substrate are adhered to each other(st10). The first pressured hardening process is performed to form the first cell gap on the adhered substrate(st20). Liquid crystals are injected on an entire structure(st30). The second pressured hardening process is performed to form the second cell gap(st40). The adhered substrate is sealed(st50). A size of the second cell gap formed at the second pressured hardening process is smaller than that of the first cell gap formed at the first pressured hardening process.
