<p>The invention concerns a weir with a weirgate with a low placed axis. The weirgate is foreseen with wings in the form of a half circle which carries a tooth-rack. The tooth-rack is driven by gears which are connected with each other by right angle wormgears and via a system of shafts. The system of shafts is led underneath of the weir so when the weirgate is opened, ships can pass the weir.</p> |
