A method of rolling a rim, capable of accurately splitting the rim at any position on a blank outer peripheral surface in plate thickness direction, comprising the steps of providing a preforming roller die (7) forming a recessed groove (8) in an outer peripheral surface (7a) in circumferential direction and having a groove forming blade part (9) provided projectedly on the inner bottom part of the recessed groove (8) in circumferential direction, pressing the recessed groove (8) and groove forming blade part (9) of the preforming roller die (7) against the outer peripheral part (10) of a disk-shaped metal blank (1) to perform a preforming of providing an outer peripheral groove (11) in the entire outer peripheral part of the blank (1) using the groove forming blade part (9), and then pressing an expanding blade part (13) of an expandedly forming roller die (12) having the expanding blade part (13) provided on the outer peripheral surface (12a) projectedly in circumferential direction against the outer peripheral groove (11) of the blank (1) so as to expandedly form the rims (15a, 15b) while splitting the outer peripheral part (10) of the blank (1) into two parts in plate thickness direction.
