PURPOSE: A broadcasting receiver enabling playback of multimedia data is provided to regenerate data compressed in a format like a JPEG(joint photographic coding experts group) and an MP3(moving picture experts group audio layer-3) by using a PCMCIA(personal computer memory card international association) interface. CONSTITUTION: A PCMCIA interface unit is used as an interface of an open cable set-top device. A control unit(30) transforms a hardware setting to use the PCMCIA interface mode as a memory card or as a POD(point of deployment) mode. A multimedia implement downloads data to regenerate in case the PCMCIA interface is used as a memory mode. |
