摘要 PURPOSE: A structure of holding a shadow mask of a cathode ray tube is provided to reduce residual stress of a panel generated due to the difference of a thermal expansion coefficient by reducing the lengths of a long axis rail and a short axis rail. CONSTITUTION: In a structure of holding a shadow mask of a cathode ray tube, a pair of first axis rails(121) are formed with step shape and placed opposite to each other, wherein the pair of first rails include a contact plane thereon to adhere the shadow mask. A pair of second axis rails(122) are formed with a step shape and include a contact plane thereon to adhere the shadow mask. The pair of second axis rails have shorter length than the pair of first axis rails by a desired width and is placed opposite to each other. A plurality of coupling members(124) couple the step parts of the pair of first axis rails and the pair of second axis rails to each other by dividing the end stages of the pair of first axis rails and the pair of second axis rails by a desired width.
