A wiper blade for the cleaning of panes on vehicles, especially cars, is described. The first distance in the longitudinal direction of the wiper strip changes so that it has a maximum value between the two ends of the wiper strip (2) and decreases then to the ends. The first distance decreases constantly to one end. The change of the first distance in the longitudinal direction of the wiper strip is symmetrical about the middle of this wiper strip. The change of the first distance is actually unsymmetrical about the middle of the wiper strip. The region at which the first distance has its maximum is provided in the middle of the wiper strip.
